Scissors, they are used to cut paper, hair, meat and plants. They are usually inexpensive, but one scissor from japan costs a fortune or a car. The bonsai scissors, made by Yasuhiro Hirakawa, costs up to $35, 000. The reason for such a jaw-dropping price is that it was made meticulously and by Japan's only scissorsmith who crafted his scissors and knives for more than 50 years. Mr Hirakawa, who hails from Sakai, makes his metal craft. Dubbed, the Sasuke scissors, it can cut firmly like a propeller.
It takes Mr.Hirakawa more than10 hours per day to forge steel and turn such metal parts into an expensive scissor. The scissors costs about 121, 000 yen or $1, 100 and the most expensive one costs $32, 420. Masakazu Yoshikawa, a bonsai craftsman and landscape architect, ordered one scissor from Mr.Hirakawa and said that it's the perfect scissor as it's the very price in cutting plant parts without damaging unintended branches and parts.
