Kozan, a group of Japanese performers, covered the song ‘Shake it Off’ by Taylor Swift using traditional Japanese instruments. The instrumental cover drew attention for its soothing sound and enjoyable rhythm. 

The Kozangumi, or simply Team Kozan, makes artistic interpretation of the latest popular songs, creating a beautiful combination of western and Japanese music. The rendition was played by Kozan Ishikura using the Shakuhachi, accompanied by Noriko Hirata on the Koto. 

The Shakuhachi is a Japanese end-blown flute, traditionally made of bamboo. The Koto, on the other hand, is a 13-stringed musical instrument that is plucked using the plectra.
