The Saidaiji Temple or the Great Western Temple is located in Nara.
Every Saturdays and Sundays, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, there is a tea ceremony being held in the temple. But the tea ceremony in the Saidaiji temple is far different from the other tea ceremonies because they are using giant bowls. You will probably need assistance in order to hold their giant bowls. The bowl size is about 30 centimeters in diameter.
You will have to pay 3000 yen for the participation fee. Prior reservation is required. The temple can only accommodate 30 people at a time.
