Just when you think you’ve had enough of Piko Taro’s viral video Pen Pineapple Apple Pen, here comes an interesting new take on the funny song.
PPAP gets a traditional Japanese twist with singer Masashi Sada’s rendition. Instead of being alone like Piko Taro, he is joined by the dance troupe, Triqstar, and accompanied by a shamisen, a drum and a flute.
Masashi Sada is a famous folk-pop singer who has released over 70 singles in his lifetime. Meanwhile, Triqstar rose to fame after joining the talent competition, Asia’s Got Talent, and showcasing their modernized take on traditional Japanese dance.
