Noppera-Bo (faceless monk) is a type of Yokai or ghost. Noppera-Bō is faceless and carries the power of shapeshifting as they can change faces to impersonate a person's relatives or family or anyone known to that person. When such victim approaches, the Noppera-Bō will reveal their true horrifying faces.

They are said to blend in the society while disguising themselves as a man or woman. When you meet one in close encounters, the Noppera-Bō face has no eyes, mouth or nose and just a blank orb and will finally reveal its hideous form by wiping its faceless face. Famous examples of Noppera-Bō are the slender man, the nurses in Silent Hill 2 video game, and monsters in Adventure Quest World's Hachiko Tower. Watch this video from Draw The Life TikTak
