Niihama Taiko Festival 2019: An Event of Floats and Drums Carried by 150 Men

Held in Shikoku Island, Hiihama Taiko Festival celebrates the harvest, and floats (Taikodai) carried by 150 men. Such floats carry Taiko or Japanese drums. The floats are decorated with coloured strings, embroidery art and gorgeous covers. The festival is also enjoyed by eating Fugauzaku that is a dish fro Niihama that uses Fogu meat (pufferfish), thread sail filefish liver and onions - seasoned with panzu-sauce and spices.
