Nagaoka fireworks festival

The Nagaoka Festival in Niigata Prefecture is best known for its dramatic fireworks display. The fireworks display usually lasts for 2 days.
The show is famous for using big Sanjakudama, which are firework shells to the size of war shells. They are almost around 90 centimeters in diameter and weighing around 300 kilograms are lauched each night of the event. Sometimes, they fire around 99 shells at a time, to give visitors the best fireworks experience ever.
