Mount Aso, a volcano sitting atop of central Kumamoto Prefecture, is known for staging a fiery springtime event held on one sunday March of the year.
One of the turn of events at Mount Aso Fire Festival showcased people who swing fire using a straw for countless times. However, the highlight of this event is the formation of a chinese character, sending Japan's largest active volcano ablaze during the time. This festival was generally made for people to pray for a rich harvest and to celebrate the marriage of the gods.
