Watch as Japanese ladies gathered at the Sanjūsangen-dō Temple in Kyoto to showcase their skills on archery at the Ōmato Taikai, also known as Great Target competition, as part of the celebration of Seijin no Hi, or the “Coming of Age day.” Coming of Age day is usually held at the second week of January. It is the event where Japanese boys and girls who are turning 20 that year celebrate the day of becoming an official adult.
