With the stressful work culture in Japan, the workers desperately need to unwind.
This is where Karaoke comes in. After a tiring day at work and the unacknowledged overtime, Japanese workers like to belt it out in Karaoke to abandon their normally reserved attitude.
With deaths relating to overtime, one of the ways to have some happy hormones is to sing with friends or co-workers in a Karaoke box, or even a Karaoke bar, if you don’t mind hanging out with strangers.
Karaoke buildings can be found near train stations, usually open until early morning. With a selection of percussion instruments such as tambourines and maracas, and a menu of food and drinks, Karaoke is a great way to have fun within a reasonable price.
