Himeji Castle, also known as Egret Castle is considered to be the first landmark in Japan that became a World Cultural Heritage. This place has a history of 400 years and holds the second largest number of visitors among other Japanese castles.
It is also in Hijemi where the cattle ranching began. Because this region also produces a good-quality salt and clean rivers nearby areas, the leather industry has also grown into this place. It still continues to keep its 1,000-year-old traditional leather industry. The industry also employs thousands of Vietnamese workers who have adopted the skills in traditional leather production.
