Japan is said to have this thing we call "Culture of Conformity."
Japan’s culture is said to be based on conformity and social harmony. Their way of life sticks to their customs and the Japanese is observed to put importance in tradition.
By Western standards, the Japanese way can be considered far from being individualistic. The result of being a culture of conformity shows in the aspects of their lives. From their work attitudes to the low crime rate in Japan, the effects of this culture drives the famed custom the Japanese have. While the culture of conformity has good effects, it also gives the Japanese people pressure to become what the society thinks an acceptable person should be.
