This Japanese wedding video is the Shinto tradition of marriage, held in a shrine. The ceremony is performed by a priest. The priest is the one to ask the kami or the Gods or spirits for the couple's blessing.
During the ceremony, there is this ritual called sansankudo. wherein the couple will take three sips each from three cups of sake.
There are also three types of kimono which the Japanese bride can wear: the shiromuku is a pure white dress; the iro uchikake is a colorful robe; and the kurokibi furisode is black and a patterned kimono. The kurobiki furisode is the kind of kimono worn during the Edo Period.
Nowadays, some couples in Japan choose the Christian chapel ceremonies over the traditional Shinto wedding.
