For people visiting Japan, etiquette can be quite daunting. The customs of the Japanese people can make you feel hesitant, especially to go on a night out if you don’t know the do’s and don’ts of the culture. 

The Japanese nightlife is fun, especially if you know where to go and what to do. For first time visitors, the biggest challenge would be the language barrier. But don’t let that stop you! 

By learning simple words and phrases, you can ask for the help of the server. Words like ‘osusume’ will greatly help when you find English menus are not available. Don’t hesitate to ask as the servers are friendly and approachable. Chances are, they know some simple English words.
