Over the course of time, mysterious traditional and doll-looking ladies known as geishas were talented women with the purpose of entertaining people (mostly men), primarily by acting as a hostess. Geishas were more seen in the city of Kyoto.
There were also debates saying that geishas are prostitutes, however it is proven misconception. In fact, Geishas are very respected, were more modern than many people think, and the word’s literal translation to English means ‘artist.’ They are skilled at the different disciplines of Japanese art, such as classical Japanese music, dancing, and poetry.
