Spring in Japan would never be the same without hanami. It is the traditional practice of appreciating the beauty of the hana or the flowers. The word hanami came from two Japanese words. The first word is hana, which literally means flowers. The second word is mi or to see or to warch. When put together, it is the tradition of the enjoying the flowers of Japan. And what could be more appealing than the sakura or the cherry blossoms during spring in Japan. Hanami can also be enjoyed at night. It is called yozakura and offers a different experience because the parks light the sakura ina very elegant way.
