We have seen a lot of Japanese calligraphy artists who display their works on paper or on walls, using their favorite brushes, whether small or gigantic. However, in this video, calligrapher Souun tried drawing kanji characters on a piece of paper, using a strand of feather.
Known as Takeda Souun, this famous artist has created a name for himself by being innovative in his art, while still retaining the traditional aspect of the art.
At the present, he had already created a lot of calligraphy art for different companies like Coca-cola, Nissan and Sony Ericsson. He had also been chosen as the cultural ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium and had put up solo exhibitions not only in Japan but also in California.
