Cherry blossom season, also known as Sakura season, usually takes place during spring season. It is such a huge deal that 60% of the population (or an astonishing 6 out of 10 people) takes part every year on activities such as Hanami, or "flower viewing."
Watch as Chris Broad, along with his friend Ryotaro, take part of the Sakura season by visiting one of the best viewing spots in Northern Japan, the town of Shibata.
