Beigoma is a traditional Japanese spinning toy. It is 3 centimeters in diameter, and is a heavy-disk-shaped object. Beigoma originally came from China, being known as Koma, or wooden toys. It is very popular during the Kamakura period and during the 17th century Edo period.
If you had a beyblade toy, it is made after the Beiegoma. Just like the beyblade, you just have to throw it to make it spin. If you, the thrower, did it right, it will make a humming sound. The first Beigoma to stop spinning or to be knocked down would be the loser.
In the year 2001, only one factory is left producing the Beigoma, which is the Kawaguchi Factory in Saitama, Prefecture.
