Arashiyama Momiji Festival - 嵐山 紅葉祭り

This yearly celebration is held every 2nd Sunday of November. The event recreates the traditions and feels of the ancient Kyoto Heian court by making traditional shows among the stunning autumn trees and leaves. It also highlights the reenactment of noble cruise boats that sailed down the Oi river. The locals held this even in Kyoto’s Arashiyama district.
