YASKAWA BUSHIDO PROJECT / industrial robot vs sword master

Yaskawa Electric Corporation created an industrial robot that is based on the expertise of Isao Machii, Iaijyutsu Master and 5-time world record holder. The company studied his movements in 3D and incorporated that mastery in the robot, Motoman.
Motoman can cut in four directions: diagonal, rising cut, horizontal cut, and the phenomenal, thousand cuts. The results was proven in a test series comprising of four challenge tests with the sword master.
This robot is part of the Yaskawa Bushido Project, for their 100th-anniversary foundation.
