Last February 9, the Tokyo Pepper Collection 2017 clothing design contest was held in Toranomon Hills, Central Tokyo. With the working theme of "Clothing-I-want-to-wear-to-work Pepper," organizers and designers paid attention to the possibilities of fashionable robots. 

In this event, the Pepper robots wore a variety of clothes. The first one to appear showed a colorful childcare assistant outfit. There was also one wearing an airport concierge uniform, which might soon be greeting and assisting passengers in Haneda and Narita. The other robots were wearing a nurse uniform, a construction worker outfit, and a Japanese kimono for workers promoting Japanese hospitality.
