First introduced on June 5, 2014, the humanoid Pepper has already evolved into a million roles for the benefit of the Japanese people. Pepper is created by Softbank, a Japanese telecommunications company, and Aldebaran Robotics, a French robotics company.
This year Pepper tries the role of a Buddhist priest, as it is introduced to the public last August for the Life Ending Industry Expo, a funeral industry fair. Pepper was said to be good in memorizing words so Nissei Eco, a plastic molding company, created a software that transformed Pepper into a holy man. Pepper is now ready to be hired in funerals.
