The Olympus Corporation is a Japanese manufacturer of optics and reprography products. Although they may be known for their cameras, Olympus actually started out making microscopes and thermometers in 1919.

Today, Olympus Corporation also produces medical and surgical equipment for endoscopy, ultrasounds, and dissection.  It also manufactures industrial scanners and high-speed video cameras, among others.

The global headquarters of Olympus Corporation is located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan.
