Nintendo DSi is the third iteration of the Nintendo DS. It is a dual-screen handheld game console released by Nintendo in Japan on November 2008 and on April 2009, worldwide.
Compared to Nintendo DS, and Nintendo DS Lite, Nintendo DSi has some unique features and functions. It has two cameras that can snap pictures, and it can support an SD card for storage purposes. Its screens are larger and brighter than those of Nintendo DS Lite and the handheld itself is also thinner and lighter.
Nintendo DSi can play games designed for Nintendo DS systems except for the Game Boy Advance. However, Nintendo DSi can go online with a Wi-Fi connection and has access to DSiWare where apps such as Bird and Beans, Dr. Mario Express, The Mario Clock, and Oregon Trail can be downloaded.
