Nintendo DS is a dual-screen handheld game console developed and sold by Nintendo. It is the first handheld console to have built-in wireless capabilities, supporting both local communication between other DS consoles, and internet communications through the now-discontinued Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service.
The DS stands for Developer's System or Dual Screen which is the distinguishing feature of the of this handheld gaming: it has two LCD screens working together wherein the lower screen is a touch screen enables the input with a stylus pen, a built-in microphone and support for wireless connectivity.
It is similar to the Nintendo 64 from the 1990s, which gives way to several N64 ports such as Super Mario 64 DS and Diddy Kong Racing DS.
