Nintendo 2DS is a handheld gaming console produced by Nintendo. It is the 3rd hardware iteration of the Nintendo 3DS, after the 3DS and the 3DS XL that was released in the year 2013.

The Nintendo 2DS is an entry-level version of the Nintendo 3DS, however, it has a radically different form factor than the other 3DS and DS line and omitting 3D capability. Unlike the 3DS clamshell design, the 2DS has a slate with one large LCD screen that is covered with plastic. Just like the 3DS, 2DS is launched in either a blue or red color.
