Japan has been making new technologies to fight the spread of COVID-19 and help patients. In this video, Euronews anchor Chris Burns talks with Dr Ishikita Naoyuki who is the Director of Medical Device Innovation Division at Niigata National Hospital. The first invention is the 3D printed ventilator that doesn't need electricity because it's pneumatic. Dr Naoyuki wants to offer his invention for free to anyone. The second tech is the Asuka3D plate that lets people control or interact with display panels without physical touching, this, in turn, can help prevent the spread of COVID-19. The Asuka3D projects display in the thin air.
