The NES Satellite is a Nintendo Entertainment System multitap adaptor accessory released in 1989. The Satellite is part of the NES Sports Set as pack-in with NES console.
NES Satellite was dubbed as a remote control module as it allows four players to play the NES at the same time. It also increases the distance between the gamer and console without the hassle of setting up and disturbance of wires running from the NES to the players. With the help of portable, battery-powered, infrared technology, the NES satellite serves as a wireless range extender adaptor for all wired controllers.
