The robotics company Groove X Inc. headed by Kaname Hayashi, on December 18, 2018, presented Lovot, the cute companion robot that has a sense of family in mind. From the name itself, which is the combination of the word love and robot, you’ll be able to know that this robot’s sole purpose is to give you the feeling that you always need: comfort and companionship where love and caress can be found.

Whenever Lovot senses a person, it flaps its arms for you to hold them. Once held, the robot will feel relief. A warm feeling can also be felt in return as Lovot bear a soft outer and an internal temperature like a human heat.

The sense of affection that Lovot has comes from its tactile sensor on every surface, LCD eye display, high-speed movement, and a high-powered computer. If a person doesn’t treat Lovot well, it will ignore you. You will only gain its affection once you treat it well.
