Where did life on Earth come from? Did it really came from asteroids or from something outside the Earth?
In order to answer these questions, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), on September 21, 2018, a follow-up to the Hayabusa 2 mission, sending and landing two unmanned space rovers to an asteroid named Ryugu.
These two rovers are slightly bigger than an iPhone, and are designed to be hopping on the surface of an asteroid. Japan made it this way to lessen the risks of being stuck on any obstacle, like what happened in the previous rolling rovers.
By the end of this mission, Japan expects to collect a sample from the asteroid, aiming to answer the question on the origin of life on Earth.
