Being the game console next to the Game Boy Color, the Game Boy Advance was released in 2001, as a 32-bit handheld video game console. This console is also Nintendo's first device on a landscape format, going on a different path from the portrait orientation of the former Game Boy gadgets.

After 9 years from the launch, in 2010, Nintendo gained a record of selling around 81.51 million units across the globe.

The specifications of the Game Boy Advance can be compared to the non-handheld and wired Nintendo console, the Super NES.
