Fujifilm, one of the biggest producers of photography film in the world, struggled when the world was enveloped by the digital age.
During that time, Shigetaka Kumori was the CEO of the company. Unfortunately, he was the one who managed all the burden and the one who needed to think of a way to keep the company from bankruptcy and total shutting down.
Apparently, the same techniques and chemicals used in extracting the colors from the film to a printed photo can also be applied to the human skin. Hence the skincare line, Astalift, was born.
