The World's Fair is a grand event held for several days to showcase the best achievements of each nation in a any field. From March 25 to September 25, 2005, the World's Fair happened in Aichi Prefecture, Japan using the name Expo 2005. During the event, the Actroid was exhibited and didn't disappoint the crowd. Created by the a team led by Osaka University's Hiroshi Ishiguro, and the Kokoro Co., Ltd., they called themselves the Intelligent Robotics Lab. The Actroid was actually a DER2 Android, which explains why it has some human features. It had 47 moving points, making it one of the most notable inventions in the field of information technology.
