Watch Yuzuru Hanyu’s interview, in celebration of the 90th anniversary of friendship between Japan and Canada. 

Yuzuru Hanyu is the 23-year-old figure skater representing Japan in world competitions. The legendary figure skater is coached by Canadian Olympic medalist Brian Orser. 

Yuzuru Hanyu was the youngest skater to win gold at the Olympics since 1948 and is regarded as one of the greatest figure skater in history for his record-breaking scores in figure skating international competitions.

Japan’s ‘Ice Prince’ is currently based in Toronto as he trains using Canadian skating techniques. 

With his relationship to Japan and Canada, Yuzuru Hanyu shares his congratulations and continues to strengthen the bond between the countries.
