Yuta Tabuse is a professional Japanese basketball player. He is the first native Japanese to ever play in the NBA. Yuta Tabuse is from a sports-enthusiastic family in Yokohama. He began playing basketball at the age of nine. After graduating high school in 1999, he moved to the US to enroll English at the Brigham Young University-Hawaii. He played one season in the university to get his name around the American college ranks. He first entered the American professional league when he played for the Dallas Mavericks in the summer. He officially debuted in the NBA when he joined the Phoenix Suns as a point guard. He has set a record for the most views on a player page during his debut. He then returned to Japan in August 2008 to be part of Link Tochigi Brex of the Japan Basketball League. He is known for his speed and agility that makes him a fundamental player.
