Pop Japan

Baseball has been one of the most famous sports in Japan, if not it's national sport. And one of the most applauded teams competing at the Nippon Professional Baseball Central League is the Yomiuri Giants. Being based in Tokyo, Japan, they have made the 55,000-seater Tokyo Dome their home court. The name of the team came from its owner, the Yomiuri group, operating a newspapaer and a television network. The Yomiuri Giants has been hailed as "The New York Yankees of Japan," due to their skills, number of wins, popularity and charisma.
