Yasuhito Endo is a Japanese professional football player currently playing for the Gamba Osaka team of the J League as the central midfielder. He was named as the "J. League Best Eleven" for 12 times, from 2003 to 2012, and 2014 to 2015 consecutively. His long list of awards does not stop here, because in 2009, he was also awarded ‘Player of the Year’ by the Asian Football Federation. He also previously played 108 games with the Samurai Blue, winning two Asian Cups.
The Kagoshima native’s international career started in 1999 and he became the most capped player in a friendly match against Brazil. With this, he is celebrated as one of the most talented of his generation.
