The Nadeshiko Japan is Japan's women's national football team, as faciitated by the sport commission, the Japan Football Association (JFA). Currently ranked as sixth in the world, this team has grabbed their first Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) Women's World Cup title in 2011, by defeating the United States women's national soccer team. This made them the first Asian team to champion the world cup. They snatched the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics. In 2015, the United States was able to regain their title at the world cup, making Nadeshiko Japan the second placer at the FIFA Women's World Cup.
