Chiba may be considered as a major city in Japan, being renowned for its steel industry and known as the city of flowers, but the Red Bull Air Race chose Chiba for its landscape.
Red Bull's traditional aviation concept and design compliments the advancement in the city of Chiba. The final world championship of the race was held in Makuharihama Park where 14 Japanese players participated and 120,000 fans witnessed the event.
It was the first time sky F1 was held in Japan with planes flying with a maximum speed of 370km. The race is all about speed and power. Pilots take turns in flying through the course. Each pilot aims for the fastest time while avoiding earning penalties.
