Abdul Hakim Sani Brown is a Japanese sprinter born from a Ghanaian father and a Japanese Mother.
In 2015, he finished first at the 9th International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Athletic Championships, with a track record of 20.34, catching the attention from all over the world, seeing that it was only 0.06 slower than Usain Bolt’s championship record.
He started in the world of sports as a football striker before getting introduced to track and field at the age of 10. His break started after finishing in second place at the 200 meter-run and third place at the 100 meter-run at the National School Championships, representing Josai High School at the age of 14.
Currently, Abdul Hakim Sani Brown is enrolled at the University of Florida, preparing in hopes of competing as one of the Japanese representatives at the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
