The photo was taken at the 49th Kintai Marathon last April 17, 2016 at the Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan. This is one of the very few opportunities wherein civilians are allowed to enter the air station. The Marine Corps in return grabs this chance to show their unrelenting support to the Japanese people. Yoshihisa Nagashita was the 34-year old man who snatched the first place award for the men's division, with a record of 2 hours, 40 minutes and 21 seconds. Hitomi Matsubara was the winner of the women's division, with a record of 3 hours, 27 minutes and 25 seconds, showing passion for the sport at forty-five years old
