In 2015, the Japanese Cherry Blossoms team won the Rugby World Cup. This win made history in the world of sports, because this have been the nation's first trophy in the world rugby tournament since 1991. They fought then with the Zimbabwe team. Since then they had been ranked at number thirteen. During the final games of the 2015 Rugby World Cup, the team competed with South Africa, which was at the number three spot. The team of South Africa, named Springboks, has been defeated at the score of 34-32, with Karne Hesketh doing the winning move for the Cherry Blossoms.
