When fall finally arrives, the whole complex of the Daigoji temple in Kyoto is filled with reddish and golden glows, which complements the red bridges, toriis and other structures in the area.
Already designated as a world heritage site, Daigoji actually reserves almost a whole mountain for the Shingon sect of Japanese Buddhism. the different holy structures are actually dispersed all though the red trees during autumn. These structures are connected to each other through hiking trails, making the place more ideal for an autumn afternoon stroll.
The place is said to be best viewed around mid to late November for that perfect scarlet hue.
