Yayoi Kusama has been one of Japan's most successful contemporary and avantgarde artist. Known for her well-loved circles, Kusama was said to be one of the pioneers of pop art, minimalist and feminist art movements, going hand in hand with other renowned artists such as Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg, and George Segal. Her career has spanned various media, most of which contained the loved dots, including paintings of different media, sculptures, artistic collages, environmental installations and even performance arts.
