Japan has 4 seasons, but in its Tohoku region, it seems like winter is taking up most the year. It may seem cheerful to have snow for more months than others but maybe not in airports. Aomori is one of the prefectures in this region and the snow has proved to be affecting the prefecture's airport runway operations.
However, this has not been a problem when the White Impulse trucks have been introduced. They are huge trucks especially made to sweep snow away from the airport's 3000-meter runway. Together, the operation of the group of trucks seemed to be "choreographed, like a ballet of machines," as stated by John Daub in his episode in Only in Japan over the same topic.
