Tanchozuru is a Japanese Crane. They are also known as the Red-Crowned Cranes because of a very prominent feature in their heads.
They are endemic to Japan and are known for the red patch on top of their heads. They are usually 4 feet to 5 feet tall, so they are considered one of the largest species of cranes. In addition, their wingspan can get as long as 8 feet.
They are also considered as bird of happiness and bird of long life. In Fables, they can live for almost 1,000 years.
