Resident Evil 7 is the latest instalment of the long-running resident evil survival horror games. The plot is set in the southern United States and led by a protagonist named Ethan Winters who is a civilian. He welds fewer fighting skills compared to the protagonists of previous resident evil games. Ethan searches for his missing wife (Mia) after she requested to find her in Louisiana despite Mia had been gone in that state for 3 years and was presumed dead. Upon his search, he ends up in a deserted mansion of the Baker family.

There he finds Mia imprisoned in the basement. They tried to escape but Mia went berserk and begun attacking Ethan. In self-defence, he killed Mia but he was knocked out by Jack Baker - the Baker Family patriarch. He awakens tied and force-fed by the cannibalistic family. Ethan managed to escape and fights Jack Baker who possesses superhuman strength and regenerative abilities. Ethan's choice whether to use the remaining serum between Mia and Zoe will lead to a different alternate ending. Choosing Zoe results in a bad and alternate ending. On the other hand, choosing Mia results in a good ending.
