Masami Nagasawa is known for her portrayal in the film entitled Gunjo, which was directed by Yosuke Nakagawa. The film was actually based on a novel with the same name by author Ayako Miyagi. Being a former gravure model, this has been the first movie wherein she had an actual love scene. The movie was the second Japanese movie made by Hollywood giant, 20th Century Fox. It finished filming in 2008 and by the following year, she already had another movie entitled Magare! Spoon, which premiered at the Tokyo International Film Festival.
