The town of Gujo in Gifu prefecture is known for a technology of making some of the ultra-realistic food samples used to display in the menu of Japanese restaurants. In this video, we will see the process of making samples of tempura and cabbage, and they indeed looked like real food.

These food samples are made of plastic, wax, and other materials. They were molded and painted in accordance to the prospect product.
